I photographed this statue in Bridge View Park, St. Ignace, Michigan, with the Mackinac Bridge in the background. The monument honors the five men who lost their lives while building the bridge. Standing here, you feel the weight of history and sacrifice. It's a reminder of the human effort behind one of Michigan's greatest landmarks.
